Situation Report – Doherty Fire

 

[Tuesday, 8/1/23, Update: 3:30pm] Crews from the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest , Montana DNRC, Whitehall Volunteer Fire Department, Boulder-Bull Mountain Volunteer Fire Departments, and Three Forks Volunteer Fire Department are on scene of this fire. The fire is in steep, rugged terrain and is being attacked using air resources. Reminder: DO NOT FLY A DRONE ANYWHERE NEAR AN ACTIVE WILDFIRE. Drones will cause air operations to cease putting responders and the public in danger. This fire will be managed by the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest.

 

[Tuesday, 8/1/23, 1:20pm] Emergency crews are responding to a wildfire on the upper East side of portion of Doherty Mountain north of Cardwell. Please avoid the access roads around the incident to allow first responders to work. No structures are threatened at this time, but this is a fast moving incident.
