Mental Health Local Advisory Council

Mission Statement

We are an assembly of customers, family members, advocates, providers, and community representatives dedicated to the development of a recovery based mental health system for Jefferson County and share in this development throughout the state of Montana.

 

Meetings:

Every third Thursday of the month from 12:00-1:30 PM. Meetings are open for all interested residents of Jefferson County. Currently meetings are held over zoom – check the Boulder Monitor for meeting information.

If there is an issue concerning mental health that you are concerned about please reach out to one of our council members and it may be added to our next meeting’s agenda.

 
Internet Based Mental Health Services for Montanans

AWARE
AWARE is a statewide nonprofit organization that offers quality, community-based support for people with mental health and/or developmental disabilities and families with children ages 0 to 8. AWARE has offices in both Butte and Helena and also offers tele-therapy and remote assistance.

Voices of Hope
Voices of Hope supports a 24-hour, 7 days per week crisis line, sexual assault advocacy, emergency assistance, information and referrals, and community education. They accept calls from a variety of individuals with issues ranging from suicidality and sexual violence to depression, anxiety, and relationship/family problems. No matter the crisis, they offer an empathetic ear, a compassionate heart and resources to support people in their time of need.

Intermountain Healthcare
Intermountain is a health care system focused on providing mental health services (in person and remote) to the Flathead Valley and greater Helena area (including Jefferson County. Their services include child and family therapy, adolescent psychiatry, and Co-occurring Substance Use and Emotional Distress Concerns among other areas of concern. Intermountain also offers a sliding fee pay schedule to meet the needs of rural and low income Montanans.
